Last week our Year 8 students wowed us with their creativity, teamwork and big ideas at our annual United for Change expo. After weeks of planning and refining their concepts, each group presented a product or service inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The gym was buzzing as students pitched to staff, peers and visiting Year 7 and 9 classes, all hoping to earn Maddie Money investments for their projects. It was fantastic to see students explaining their thinking with confidence and really bringing their ideas to life.
Congratulations to all groups for their hard work and enthusiasm and a special shout-out to the award winners below:
Best Overall: Amber C, Olivia S, Lilah B and Ellie B from 802 for “Fayd” biodegradable plastics.
Runner Up: Jada N, Mia F and Mya W from 804 for “Thrive Dry”, giving drought resistant crops to farmers and others during droughts.
Best Pitch: Acelyn K and Micha H from 801 for “Meals on Every Table,” a charity aiming for zero hunger.
